Bob va de compres

After days and days of rain, the weekend is here and the sun is shining. Good thing too, Phil's we weather gear is worn out and needs to be replaced. So while I pedalled home comfortably from the pub last night, Phil was moist, to say the least.

Today, he was pretty damp after the ride too, but not because of any pluja. Today it was Bob who was to blame!

Yes, that's right, we went shopping with Bob.

The dogs and the cat were low on food, so it was time to venture out to that American institution, the rei de supermercats: Costco.

It was a crazy Saturday morning inside, but at least we got some free food tastings along the way. Hot cross buns, chicken wings and beef jerky. Oh yeaaaah!

Then it was time to focus on the task at hand. Reggie was first up.

Throw in a new work jacket for Phil and some vitamins, looking at just over 40kg with 33kg being carried by Phil and Bob.

Boy oh boy did we make people's heads turn on the road. Had a few amusing conversations with cars stopped at the lights too!

I really had it easy with my light load. Go Phil!

Home and the Fargo-Bob conglomerate is self supporting!!! 

Yep, SS Fargos reign supreme yet again.

And of course, every SS adventure deserves a reward.

03/10/2009: PUIGMAL2009.

La proposta que no és tal, és demà.

L'hora de sortida les "7.30" del matí, el lloc d'inici, la recta d'arribada a la rotonda de Puigcerdà venint de La Molina, a ma esquerra un restaurant "antic", aparquem i iniciem ruta, la tornada des del Puigmal per França.

Fa setmanes que amb la Betty perseguim pujar al PUIGMAL, i mira per on, que demà ho tenim perfecte, un detall "nosaltres" no som la Betty i en Bob, som en Colorado i en Bob.

Sí ja ho sé, fem por, no podem garantir que tornareu, no podem afirmar que hi pujarem, o que anirem a Núria passant per Andorra, és el que passa amb aquestes propostes. Saps on vols anar, no on anirem un cop hi siguem posats. Cal remarcar, aquest aspecte, NO HI HA HORA DE TORNADA, és una pujada al PUIGMAL, de PUIGCERDÀ al PUIGMAL, i sí cal portar entrepà i el que calgui per no patir gana, perquè no hi ha punt on ens donin menjar, hem de ser autònoms 100%.

És una jornada de bike complerta, tot el dia, hi ha hora de sortida definida, i no hi ha hora de tornada establerta, perquè no hi ha forma de poder concretar el temps que cal, l'he fet un sol cop, i fa mesos, potser anys.

Puja molt, més i la baixada no té res d'especial, la veritat, és més la simbologia del fet de pujar al Puigmal que no pas, que sigui una ruta o molt tècnica o en certament singular.

El tram a fer a peu, és de paciència i anar fent, no té més. Això sí, un cop a dalt, la sensació és de 10/10, més que bona, més que positiva, una perfecta pujada d'entrada a la tardor.

Després de la sortida si us va bé podríem fer cloenda, amb sopar 100% MTB, com la que ja varem fer a la darrera i recordada Èpica de la Cerdanya. O no, i marxeu tot seguit després de la ruta.

També entenc que no comparteixo, que siguem en Colorado i lagranevasió els únics assistents, però si aquest és el cas, QUINA SORTIDA QUE US PERDREU!!!.

Però sempre us quedarà el Puigmal 2010.
